A lifelong shooter and outdoorsman, Danny has been around firearms for as long as he can remember and has spent years hunting throughout the fall and winter seasons. His passion for shooting, hunting, and mechanical systems eventually led to the creation of The Tactical Den, where he combines firsthand experience with detailed product evaluations, custom builds, and real-world testing.
Since founding The Tactical Den, Danny has published more than 75 original articles and reviews covering AR-15s, precision rifles, hunting rifles, optics, firearm accessories, custom builds, and outdoor equipment. Every review is based on firsthand use, original photography, and practical field experience rather than simply repeating manufacturer specifications. His goal is to provide shooters with honest, experience-driven information that helps them make informed decisions and build better-performing rifles.
Outside of The Tactical Den, Danny has worked as a professional heavy equipment and truck mechanic for more than 10 years. His mechanical background plays a major role in how he evaluates products, with a focus on fitment, durability, torque specifications, material selection, wear patterns, and long-term reliability. The same attention to detail required to diagnose and repair complex equipment influences how he approaches rifle builds, optics mounting systems, suppressor setups, vehicle modifications, and product testing.
