It’s important to mention that our review model of the AXE-19 Tactical comes with a couple of unique specifications. Firstly, instead of the standard 4.5” threaded match barrel, our firearm is equipped with a 3.9″ AXI Match Barrel, which is found in the AXE-19 Match. Additionally, we’re not just evaluating the co-witnessing multi-sight/slot system that comes standard with the AXE-19 Tactical. We are also putting their True BoMar type fully adjustable rear sight matched with the lo-pro front Slot sight through its paces. Before opening the case of the AXE-19 Tactical, you’ll notice it comes in the factory glock hard case but with the addition of AccuracyX’s branding engraved in. Here’s a detailed rundown of what’s included:

The inclusion of a shooting target is a nice touch, immediately showcasing the AXE-19 Tactical’s precision. Seeing the target only made me more eager and excited for the first range day to come! It’s clear from the outset that this isn’t just a firearm you’re receiving, it’s a comprehensive package.

First Look and Overall Appearance

When you first lay eyes on the AccuracyX AXE-19 Tactical, certain features immediately stand out. The grip’s X pattern texture, for one its unique but also looks amazing! The design features a star at the bottom, a big X in the center and a bunch of small X’s creating the texture. This texture is more than just some eye candy, it enhances the grip and functionality of the firearm.

The next feature that catches your attention is the slide. The front and rear serrations, I can always appreciate when a firearm features front serrations on the slide. Its a huge plus in my book! Engraved on both sides is “AccuracyX” showcasing a bit rightful branding while keeping the look clean. However, my favorite is the top of the slide, where the AccuracyX logo and the number ’19’ are machined. Combined with the sleek BlackSTAR finish, the slide gives the AXE-19 Tactical a unique yet tactical look.

The barrel also adds to the firearm’s aesthetic, with a slightly shinier finish that contrasts nicely with the slide. It proudly displays the AccuracyX logo, reinforcing the brand’s presence. Not far from the barrel, sitting on their raised pedestals are the co-witnessing multi-sight system which only adds to its tactical appearance. When paired with the Trijicon RMR, the look is unmatched. The Timney trigger which features a red safety, which stands out against the black and adds a subtle yet striking pop of color.

Overall, I personally think the appearance of the AXE-19 Tactical is awesome but definitely unique. The X pattern texture on the grip is not only visually impressive but also functionally effective. My favorite feature is the slide – its design is exceptionally unique, perfectly capturing the essence of what makes this handgun stand out and the craftsmanship AccuracyX is capable of.

However, the model we’re reviewing here is equipped with a non-threaded version, showcasing the range of customization that AccuracyX offers to its customers.

Grip and Frame

The grip and frame of the AccuracyX AXE-19 Tactical are where comfort meets functionality. Immediately noticeable is the distinctive X-pattern texture. Far from being just a visual enhancement, this texture provides an exceptional grip, balancing tactile feedback with comfort. It’s not overly aggressive, yet it offers a secure hold, making the firearm feel like an extension of the hand.

AccuracyX‘s focus on ergonomics is evident in the high-grip trigger guard cut. This cut allows for a higher hold on the pistol, significantly improving control and stability during shooting sessions. The grip contours ensures a natural and comfortable hand placement.

The trigger chosen by AccuracyX for the AXE-19 Tactical is a Timney aluminum trigger. The AXE-19 also features a full action tune. This combination results in a trigger set to a 3.75 pound break, paired with a crisp reset.

The synergy between the trigger and the action tune creates an exceptionally smooth and controllable firing experience. One of the most appealing aspects of this trigger is its noticeable wall, followed by a very predictable and satisfying break. This level of predictability is something I actively look for and appreciate in a handgun. The reset is short and crisp, which significantly aids in maintaining control and ensures a seamless operation, shot after shot.

To objectively assess the trigger’s performance, we conducted our traditional trigger weight test using a manual gauge. AccuracyX claims the trigger is set to 3.75 pounds. Remarkably, each of our three readings consistently showed a 3.75 pound pull, validating AccuracyX’s specifications. This precise alignment of the trigger’s performance with its stated specifications is not only a validation of their claim but also a reflection of the meticulous attention to detail and pride that AccuracyX invests in their firearms. It’s these small but significant touches that enhance the quality and craftsmanship inherent in the AXE-19 Tactical.

Out of the box, the AXE-19 Tactical comes equipped with a co-witnessing fiber-optic front slot sight and a rear co-witnessing Multi-Sight module. This setup is perfect for someone wanting to wield a suppressor or looking for that tactical feel and look.

Multi-Sight System

Further enhancing its versatility, the AXE-19 features their unique Multi-Sight System. This system allows for easy integration of various optics, such as Vortex, Trijicon, Leupold, and C-more, while breaking the mold of the traditional yet limited CNC-machined formats. We chose the Trijicon module with a Trijicon RMR sight, which perfectly complements the firearm’s design. Bomar Type Adjustable Rear Sight

Rounding out the options is their true Bomar type adjustable rear sight, paired with a low-mount front fiber optic Slot sight. This configuration, typically seen on competition-style 1911 and 2011 handguns, is a unique addition to a Glock platform. In fact, it’s the first time I’ve heard of a true Bomar type adjustable rear sight on a Glock or striker-fired platform. The sight setup integrates seamlessly with the firearm, maintaining clean lines and providing reliable, unwavering accuracy. Once dialed in, it remains steadfast holding its zero effortlessly.

Each sighting option on the AXE-19 Tactical brings something unique to the table, whether it’s the standard co-witnessing setup, the versatile Multi-Site System, or the traditional yet highly unique Bomar type sight. A huge game changer and impressive feature of their sight systems is its Zero repeatability. The zero can’t change due to their patented multi sight slot system no matter how many times you swap or change sights. While my personal preference between the 2 iron sights leans towards the fully adjustable Bomar type for its functionality, the Trijicon RMR red dot remains a top choice for me as I’ve really grown to love red dots on handguns. This range of options underscores the AXE-19 Tactical’s adaptability, catering to a wide array of preferences and shooting styles.

Slide Release

The slide release on the AccuracyX AXE-19 Tactical is the standard Glock 19 slide release. The release is effortlessly operated with a simple flick of the thumb. Its reliability is evident in its consistent performance, securely locking the slide in place when needed and releasing it smoothly when required

While it may not boast any extraordinary features, its straightforward, effective design is exactly what many shooters seek. It’s a no-fuss, dependable component that does its job well.

Magazine Release

The magazine release on the AccuracyX AXE-19 Tactical is the standard Glock 19 mag release. While it performs and functions without issue, I personally would prefer an extended mag release.

An extended mag release adds that extra bit of accessibility and ease of use. The slight protrusion of an extended release can make a significant difference, offering a more intuitive and quicker magazine change. The best part about this minor personal issue is its very easy to fix and inexpensive. I’ll definitely be adding the Glock extended mag release in the future.

Live Fire Performance

On the range with the AccuracyX AXE-19 Tactical, the primary question running through my head was, how accurate is it? This question was answered pretty quickly, as I emptied the first few magazines down range. The AXE-19 produced tight consistent groupings right out of the box, showcasing its accuracy and ease of control.

Over several range days, the AXE-19 Tactical consistently impressed everyone who handled it. The pistol functioned flawlessly with various brands of ammunition, without any misfires, jams, or hiccups. The overall performance was top-tier, with accuracy that was even more impressive. Shooting the AXE-19 Tactical wasn’t just about testing its capabilities; it was genuinely fun.

Comparing the AXE-19 to the standard Glock 19, it was noticeable smoother. The timney trigger matched with a full action tune, produced a predictably crisp break and a short reset, making trigger control effortless. Handling and recoil control also felt amazing, thanks to their high grip trigger guard cut and optimized ergonomics. This allowed for a comfortable yet high grip, providing excellent control and keeping the sights on target.

Switching between the two sight options, Multi-Sight/SLOT Sight system and the “True” Bomar adjustable rear sight, the AXE-19 consistently delivered top-notch performance. The Bomar sight, in particular, added a level of precision and adaptability that was both unique and very enjoyable to use on a glock/striker fired platform. Adjusting and fine-tuning the sight was straightforward, and once set, it held its zero impeccably.

The only minor critique I have is the magazine release like i stated before. I prefer a bit more protrusion for easier operation, but the standard glock mag release still does the job just not my personal favorite.
